Indian variety carrot seeds in a 10 g pack, suited to home vegetable gardens and farms growing for market. The variety produces straight, uniform roots with bright orange colour, firm texture and sweet flavour, good for eating fresh, salads, juices and cooking. Sow directly where the crop will grow, without transplants, in light, deep, well drained soil free of stones, sandy or loamy, with full sun. Seeds sprout in 7 to 14 days; thin crowded seedlings so the roots can size up, and harvest after 70 to 90 days depending on climate and care. Work in well rotted organic matter before sowing, then feed with a balanced NPK fertilizer, adding potassium and keeping nitrogen moderate. Store the sealed pack somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sun.
